Websites already know the answer.

Airgentic is the layer that can actually use it: specialist agents and fielded search, grounded in your own content, for organisations whose visitors ask questions with real constraints.

We come from search. That is why the agents work.

Websites for courses, rates, land titles, and product catalogues were never a bag of text. They have fields, facets, calendars, and hard limits: not online, not that campus, not that SKU.

Brett Matson spent a career making that kind of search work. He led Funnelback through launch, acquisition, expansion across Asia Pacific, the UK and North America, and recognition by Gartner as a Visionary. When chatbots arrived, they summarised pages and dropped the constraints.

Airgentic exists to put the structure back. Specialist agents compose a real query against a live index. Answers come with citations. A person can take over when it matters. In 2026 that became one product: search and the assistant on the same overlay, first live with the Australian Institute of Management.

How we got here

A short path from search technology to live services on public websites.

2021

Founded on search and question-answering work.

2024

Launched the specialist-agent platform for public websites, with grounded answers, human override, and customer insights.

2025

Live with government, education, and nonprofit services, including Land Services SA, BCIT, and Starlight Children's Foundation.

2026

Combined site search and assistant go live with AIM. Winner of the ACT iAwards Business & Industry category.

Built in Australia. Recognised at the iAwards.

We are a small Australian company, based in Canberra and Sydney, working with organisations here and overseas. The customers who went live early shaped the platform. This page is about them as much as it is about us.

The founders

Brett Matson – CEO & Co-Founder

Previously led Funnelback through launch, acquisition, and expansion across Asia Pacific, the UK and North America, with recognition by Gartner as a Visionary. At Airgentic he leads product and the company, drawing on a career in information retrieval, site search, and customer-facing AI.

Archie Hooper – Co-Founder

Based in Sydney, Archie leads Airgentic's work with customers: the conversations that turn a hard question into a live service. He is why the company sells practical outcomes, not AI theatre.

Who we work with

The same platform, configured for the questions each organisation actually gets. See Airgentic for higher education, local government, and manufacturers.

Higher education

Prospective students find the program that actually fits. Program finding, study pathways, and Funnelback-compatible site search.

Local government

Residents get accurate, cited answers after hours, from your own content. Rates, waste, halls, and the questions that used to sit in the contact centre.

Government services

Specialist agents for complex domains, as at Land Services SA, where the assistant cut contact-centre load and answered 95% of questions.

Manufacturers

Specs, compatibility, and support that is not a PDF hunt, for distributors and customers who expect an answer now.

“The new AI-powered chatbot has provided our customers with a new 24/7 support channel, offering instant answers to common questions, delivering a fast and easy experience. Since May 2025, we have seen a steady increase in use of the chatbot, and a correlating decrease in calls to our contact centre. We love the control we have to train RobBot and continue to build and improve our response database to deliver an even greater experience for customers.”

How we work

Buyers evaluating AI for a public website tend to ask the same four things. This is how we answer them.

Grounded

Answers come from content you approve, with citations. If we do not know, we say so.

Governed

Human override, handoff with full context, and retention you control.

In production quickly

Typical rollouts are days, not a custom AI project.

Fit for public sector

An Australian company, with an Azure Sydney hosting option, already through council and government procurement.
